Free Holiday Paper Ornaments!

This year I am offering free downloadable paper ornaments to my Instagram followers. These little paper ornaments come in three colours and I have both JPEG and PDF files below for you to choose from. This is a wonderful activity to do with children or a night with friends and wine! You can add a sweet treat, note or tiny present into the ornament to hang on the tree.

If you make an ornament please tag me @marleeraecreates so I can see your ornament in action! If you are having trouble following the instructions below check out my Instagram for a demo video.

Thank you for flowing me and supporting my creativity. Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season!

Paper Ornament Instructions

To Download your ornament:

  • Make sure you have opened this page on your desktop
  • Right click on the image you wish to download.
  • Save the image to your computer by choosing one of the dropdown options: “Save image to Downloads”, “Save image as…” or “Add image to photos”. If you are accessing this from your mobile click “Share” and email it to yourself so you can grab it from your computer.
  • Once selected you will find your image on your computer ready to print. *NOTE: I like to use a heavier paper stock when printing like 160g paper. Make sure its something a little more sturdy than plain printer paper*

To cut and fold ornament:

  • You will need scissors, ribbon or twine, double-sided tape or a glue stick and something sharp like a needle or exacto knife to poke the holes for your ribbon.
  • Cut along the inside of the dashed line.
  • With the image face down, fold each section over the other so that the fold runs along the white line between each section. Don’t forget to fold in the glue tab.
  • With your chosen sharp object, carefully punch a hole through the white dots at the top of each section. Make sure the hole is big enough to fit the ribbon/twine.
  • Place the tape or glue on the glue tab and adhere to the backside of the previous section forming a circle.
  • Thread the ribbon or twine through the holes from the inside of the shape and gently pull closed. Tie a knot or bow and you are ready to hang your ornament!
